Feng Sanniang is too many steps below Han Li. She never realized it is time to escape and only realized when she saw Han Li and Qu Hun gone. Best opportunity to escape gone, then called out for the whole group to run. Make noise: alert Wu Chou, huge group on the move: Huge target easy to see.

Wu Chou is probably going to let either Feng Xi or Lei Peng to kill off all the Cultivators... witnesses in the Colosseum to cover his tracks this is why he setup the isolation formation.

At least we can see that Wu Chou keeps trying to interrupt him from using ranged. He must be a strong caster like Han Li's Disciple Aunt Hong Fu, except he's lower level. At first I thought it is just tactics, especially when Wang Ning's dad didn't notice immediately when Wu Chou teleported to his flank. But dad got better and better. It's almost as if the animators are telling me, Dad was just rusty and is getting his combat senses back as the fight drags on.

It was further confirmed when Wu Chou used tactics - psychological warfare, the Betrayal of Elder Gui killing of Elder Gu who was shown to have good relationship with Dad.

Weird the two Elders, at least Elder Gu didn't help him. Wu Chou wouldn't have stood a chance.

Then I recall the previous episodes: Elders Gui and Gu was established to have their lifespan approaching the end. So Elder Gui must've somehow persuaded Gu to let Wang Ning's Dad and Wu Chou to exhaust themselves first then they help. This way Elder Gui can kill Gu and join Extreme Yin's side.

Elder Gu probably has some selfishness on his part too. Again show that Six-Chains and other organizations under Star Palace are probably rotten as Wu Chou said. (The Elders didn't refute him either)

So my guess is Wang Ning's dad was a bad assed ranged. He got rusty at the start, got his battle senses back in the battle. Too bad, useless because Nascent Soul Fengxi came out and very soon, Nascent Soul Lei Peng will be appearing. You can't glue 100 bad ass Core Formation Middle Stage Ranged together to make any impact on a Nascent Soul's Stage

False Core is not Core formation stage. It is still foundation stage but almost as strong as core formation stage. So it is between peak foundation and Core formation early stage
